Sit to Stand Desk Accessories – 5 Office Needs

18

We know by now that standing while working helps alleviate back pain and keeps you active, but it can also surface other discomforts. Luckily, there are ways to make your experience more enjoyable to prevent you from tiring quickly and to help you get more things done.
In this Article we’ll talk about 5 Sit to Stand Desk Accessories which works in tandem with your desk.

1. Anti Fatigue Mat

If you own a sit-to-stand desk or stand in one position for a certain period, you’ll soon find that the soles of your feet become uncomfortable and painful. Standing all day is tough and the hard floor also does not make matters better.

Therefore, I highly recommend investing in the Anti Fatigue Mat which is a floor mat that takes pressure off of your feet, knees, and back, as opposed to when standing on a hard surface. It offers long-lasting support; letting you stand longer and stronger.

The great thing about these mats is that you can use them even if you do not own a standing desk. They are versatile and offer you support from different settings where you have to stand for a long time.  Whether it be from cooking family meals in the kitchen or working on a project with a team, the floor mats got your back!

VARIDESK – Standing Desk Anti-Fatigue Comfort Floor Mat – ActiveMat Rocker

The ActiveMat Rocker has a rocker cradle foot rest that lets you prop up your feet and move them back and forth to help stimulate circulation and relieve stress. It also gives you the freedom to explore a range of stances. The best part is that it also works even when you sit down. The rocker provides a nice little activity work out to help you burn calories.

2. Sit to Stand Desk Chair

Another accessory that complements your desk is the standing desk chair. You are probably wondering, ‘Chairs again? But I thought the point of the standing desk is to prevent you from sitting!’ Well, not entirely. The goal of the standing desk is to not sit for too long. Therefore, taking a break from standing from time to time is actually recommended.

3. Foam Roller

Another great accessory for your standing desk is a great foam roller. A good Foam roller provides a lot of health benefits. It will not only provide a great self-massage, but it can give you a good stretch. It reduces pressure points and prevents injuries. Other benefits of a foam roller is that it reduces stress, improves one’s flexibility,  provides better blood circulation, and helps with soreness after a workout.

5. Step stool

Last, but not least, is the step stool. A step stool can add some variety when placing one foot on it, taking the pressure off of the parts of your feet that bear the majority of your weight. I prefer a good old foldable step stool because it is easy to store when not in use, it is inexpensive and it does the job.
